Delete Your Data

This page explains how to delete your data in Kavanoz.

Data Deletion Options

Kavanoz does not currently support partial data deletion. To delete your data, you must delete your account, which will permanently remove all your data from our systems.

Note:

While you cannot delete specific data categories while keeping your account, you can manually delete individual items (bills, documents, routines, lists) within the app. However, for complete data deletion, account deletion is required.

How to Delete All Your Data

To delete all your data, you need to delete your account. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Kavanoz app on your mobile device
  2. Navigate to Settings:
    • Tap the settings icon in profile tab
  3. Find Account Deletion:
    • Scroll down to the "Account" section
    • Tap on "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm Deletion:
    • Read the warning message carefully
    • If you signed up with email/password, you'll be asked to enter your password for security
    • Confirm that you want to delete your account
  5. Data Deleted: All your data will be permanently deleted

What Data Will Be Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted:

  • User Profile: Your name, email, profile photo, and account settings
  • Financial Data: All bills, expenses, savings, and financial records
  • Documents: All archived documents and files
  • Routines: All your routines and routine history
  • Lists: All personal lists and list items
  • Shared Home Data: Your membership in any shared homes
  • Statistics: All usage statistics and analytics data
  • Authentication Data: Your login credentials and authentication tokens

Manual Item Deletion (Without Account Deletion)

While you cannot delete data categories while keeping your account, you can manually delete individual items:

  • Bills: Open any bill and delete it from the app
  • Documents: Open any document and delete it from the app
  • Routines: Open any routine and delete it from the app
  • Lists: Open any list and delete it, or delete individual list items

Note: These actions only delete individual items. To delete all your data at once, you must delete your account.

Data Retention

No Data Retention: Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed from our systems. We do not retain any of your personal data after account deletion.

Deletion Timeline: Account deletion is processed immediately. All data is permanently deleted within 24 hours of your deletion request.
